Where Can I Serve?
Jesus told us to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the church vehicles, preparing the church bulletins, making dinners for funerals, serving as ushers, greeters, and nursery workers.
Mission Outreach
Rockville First Assembly is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in spreading the good news of Jesus in our community to reach the hurting and the lost. We are also reaching out to local colleges through Chi-Alpha, supporting local Indiana missionaries, as well as missionaries all over the United States and throughout the world with our money and with our prayers. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.
Worship, Media, & Technology
Many church members get involved in our Worship Technology, & Media ministry. Some play their instruments or sing on the Worship Team.. Others are involved in our Media Ministry running the sound system, recording, and video equipment. Still others in our Technology Ministry where all of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website and we maintain an active Facebook account for additional church communication. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.
Prayer Partners
Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Every Sunday night we gather to pray for needs within our church and all over the world.
Throughout the week, volunteers from our Prayer Partners team pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.
